KUALA LUMPUR: The latest Mercedes-AMG model, the A 35 4MATIC Sedan was unveiled today with the aim to entice drivers who have yet to sample the unique AMG driving experience.
Tagged with a price of RM348,888 (OTR without Insurance), the A 35 4MATIC Sedan brings a four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces a 306hp, enabling a sprint to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds.
Supported by the AMG Speedshift DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission and Adaptive Damping System suspension, the model is ready to offer a powerful charge at the press of the accelerator. At the same time, a new feature in the AMG Dynamic Select drive programs, AMG Dynamics brings greater the stabilising functions.
Meanwhile, the AMG Ride Control suspension features an adaptive adjustable damping system, which allows the driver to switch between three different suspension configurations.

A slew of AMG design features such as the radiator grille with twin louvres, the AMG Line front apron with flics on the air intakes, a front splitter and silver chrome trim elements makes the A 35 easily recognisable.
A 35 4MATIC Sedan incorporates a 'shearing plate' – an aluminium plate underneath the engine – which increases the torsional rigidity and bending resistance at the vehicle's front end. Two additional diagonal braces at the front of the underbody also reduce torsion and increase the stiffness.
The sporty exterior is also enhanced with the addition of 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, illuminated door sill panels and the two-part tail lamps.
Inside, AMG's leather finishing and red trimmings are retained, while the interior also offer functionality as it boasts a rear headroom of 944mm and a boot that holds 420 litres. The MBUX multimedia system allows driver and passenger-friendly structure and access to make every ride more entertaining.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Formula One driver, Lewis Hamilton also made an appearance at the launch event.
