BMW X3 receives sportier M Sport Package

KUALA LUMPUR: The BMW X3 has received the sportier M Sport Package update as announced by BMW Malaysia today.

The sports utility vehicle (SUV) now joins the 330i M Sport introduced last week and will only see 120 units delivered nationwide. So, you have to be quick if you would like to get your hands on one.

Harald Hoelzl, managing director of BMW Group Malaysia said, “Joining the BMW 330i M Sport introduced last week, the BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport Package will be assembled at our facility in Kulim, illustrating that our commitment to Malaysia will only continue to grow as we expand the line-up of locally assembled BMW vehicles here.”

Available in the existing xDrive30i trim, the X3 with M Sport Package retails at RM328,800 and comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, free scheduled service programme, 24-month tyre warranty, roadside assistance and accident hotline.

The X3 can also be owned via BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia’s Balloon Finance Plan with monthly instalment from as low as RM3,758 (based on estimation of 80 per cent loan on a five-year tenure).

So, what do you get with the M Sport Package? Exterior wise, the BMW X3 M Sport can be distinguished by its 20-inch M light alloy wheels in Style 699 M, M Sport suspension, M Sport brake and M Aerodynamic body styling.

On top of that, there’s M exterior designation on both front side panels, along with BMW Individual roof rails, M aero rear bumper and tailpipes finished in gloss chrome.

M flavours in the cabin, meanwhile, includes M Sport leather steering wheel, door sills with M letterings and M-specific pedals.

Elsewhere, the cabin is similarly-equipped from the existing X30 xDrive30i featuring Vernasca leather upholstery, 10.25-inch touchscreen Navigation System Professional, iDrive Touch and an audio system with 12 speakers.

Under the hood of the X3 M Sport is a 2.0-litre four-banger unit with TwinPower Turbo capable of producing 252hp at 5,200-6,500rpm and 350nm of max torque at 1,450-4,800rpm.

The engine is paired to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and zero to 100kph can be done in 6.3 seconds onwards to a top speed of 240kph.Colour offerings for the BMW X3 include Alpine White, Carbon Black, Glacier Silver and Phytonic Blue.
