Mazda announces pricing for CX-30 crossover variants

KUALA LUMPUR: The pricing for the much-anticipated Mazda CX-30 has been released.

The car is a fully-imported CBU unit, and three variants are on offer.

The CX-30 2.0L, CX-30 2.0L High and CX-30 1.8L Diesel High are priced at RM143,119.20, RM164,119.20 and RM173,027.70 respectively.

The Mazda CX-30 is a compact crossover that sit between the CX-3 and the CX-5 in terms of size and features the marque’s Kodo design language.

Standard exterior kits include LED headlights with automatic self-levelling, LED tail lights, and rain-sensing front wipers.

Inside, the base 2.0L receives manual climate control while the two higher variants get dual-zone auto climate control system and rear air-con vents that comes with its own set of controls.

Other equipment includes 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat coupled with fabric seats for the base car or black leather upholstery for the 2.0L High and 1.8L Diesel High.

As for the infotainment system, the standard inclusion for all CX-30 is an 8.8-inch touchscreen display with Mazda Connect, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Under the hood of the 2.0L and 2.0L High is, of course, the 2.0-litre SkyActive-G petrol engine, good for 163hp at 6,000rpm and 213Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.

As for the 1.8L Diesel High, it is powered by a new 1,759cc SkyActive-D that makes 116PS and 270Nm of torque from 1,600 to 2,700rpm.

Both engines are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.

The colour line-up include Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Titanium Flash, Jet Black, Deep Crystal Blue, Sonic Silver, Snowflake White Pearl and Polymetal Gray Metallic.

As with all the other Mazda vehicles, the new CX-30 comes with a five-year manufacturer warranty and a five-year free maintenance inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants.

Both warranties have a coverage period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
