Lenovo unveils latest gaming hardware, announces latest collaboration with Intel

PETALING JAYA: Lenovo unveiled three new additions to its gaming sub-brand, the Legion family, today.

Equipped with the latest hardware and offerings, Lenovo presented the Legion Y920 laptop, Legion Y720 tower and Legion Y520 tower.

A high-end gaming laptop, the Legion Y920 is powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 overclockable processor, comes with a stunning 4K resolution of NVIDIA GeForce GTX-1070 graphics card and sports an edgy mechanical keyboard with optional multicolour backlight feature.

Not restricted to gaming alone, the laptop also makes entertainment come alive with a 3W Bass subwoofer and two 2W JBL speakers, all custom-tuned via Dolby Home Theater.

The VR-ready Legion Y720 tower is loaded with a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor for fast system responsiveness and includes up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX-1070 8GB graphics.

The desktop also features a tool-less design for effortless self-upgrading of graphics, storage, or memory.

The Legion Y520 tower, which is also VR ready, has up to 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and comes complete with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX-1060 GPU.

It can be upgraded easily for users who want a flexible approach to swapping their optical drive, storage, or memory, making it a great introduction to desktop PC gaming.

Inclusive of GST, the prices for the Legion Y920 laptop start from RM12,999, the Legion Y720 Tower is priced from RM7,799, and the Legion Y520 Tower starts from RM4,999.

Lenovo also announced another collaboration with Intel as the main sponsors of the Southeast Asian League of Legend’s tournament, League of Champions Series II, to provide gamers with the ultimate test of skill.

The League of Champions Series II finals will be held in Bangkok in January and will see participants from around Southeast Asia armed with powerful Lenovo Legion devices to battle it out on the Fields of Justice.
