KUALA LUMPUR: The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are officially on sale here at all Apple reseller stores.
The 4.7-inch iPhone 8 is priced at RM3,649 for the 64GB model and RM4,399 for 256GB, while the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus is available at RM4,149 (64GB) and RM4,899 (256GB).
Unveiled by Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California, on Sept 12, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus feature a new glass and aluminium design, Retina HD displays, A11 Bionic Chip, new single and dual cameras with support for portrait lighting, wireless charging and optimisation for augmented reality.
The phones come with more advanced cameras, and the Plus version now has a Portrait Lighting feature that gives better and sharper portrait photos.
The phones can also record video at 4K resolution and come with augmented reality capability for the Plus version.
The A11 Bionic Chip used in the phones is the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone, featuring a six-core CPU design with two performance cores that are 25 per cent faster and four efficiency cores that are 70 per cent faster than the previous A10 Fusion chip, offering industry-leading performance and energy efficiency.
