Lightest and smallest foldable drone from DJI

PETALING JAYA: Global brand in civilian drones and aerial imaging technology, DJI has announced Mavic Mini, a new model under its Mavic line.

This ultra-light folding drone is designed to be the everyday FlyCam. Weighting only 249 grams, the drone is fully customisable and portable. It is easy also to fly and safe, making it perfect for both new and seasoned drone flyers.

Offering high-quality footage including 2.7K video at 30 frames per second, 1080p at 60 frames per second, or 12-megapixel photographs using the ½.3-inch sensor, the drone features a three-axis motorised gimbal for a stable and smooth footage.

Kevin On, global marketing and communication director at DJI said at the launch: “To design a drone as lightweight, compact yet as capable as the Mavic Mini was one of the most challenging projects we’ve ever tackled at DJI.

“Distilling top-of-the-line features into a palm-size drone is the culmination of years of work and we are excited to bring a new class of drone to the DJI lineup.”

To compliment the new drone, DJI also releases the new DJI Fly app suite packed with creative features for professional-quality production.

“Mavic Mini’s extended flight time, ultra-light weight and high quality camera makes it the everyday flycam.

“It is easy to fly and comes with intuitive app making it a perfect drone for first-time pilots,” said On.

The DJI Mavic Mini (standard package) is retailed at RM1,599 while the Mavic Mini Fly More combo is priced at RM1,999. The Mavic Mini is opened for pre-order until end of November with shipping as early as mid-November 2019.
