KUALA LUMPUR: Snapchat is rolling out a new feature called Cameo which let users put their own face on memes and GIFs.
With Cameos, users become the star of short, looping videos that can be customised with their own face.
“From Lenses to Bitmoji and everywhere in between, we’re always building fun new ways to express yourself in the moment. Now, we’re unveiling another feature to bring your conversations to life: Cameos!
“Cameos make you the star of your own short, looping videos that you can send to friends in Chat. Whether you’re feeling excited, exhausted, or just want to say hi, you can find the perfect Cameo for the moment. You can even customise the captions for certain Cameos to make them your own,” said a spokesperson from Snap Inc.
Starting next Wednesday, Snapchat users can find and send Cameos in Chat, right beside your stickers. There will be 150 Cameos to choose from when it is launched, and many more coming soon.
If your friends have also set them up, you’ll see options featuring you two together – the ultimate duet.
To make Cameos, you have to first take a selfie, choose a Cameo scene to star in, add in text to make it more fun, and then send it to your friends.
If you plan to share it on other social media platforms, just save the Cameos to your photo album to search for it later.
