Redefining black and white photography

LEICA Camera AG has taken the next step forward in digital black-and-white photography with its new Leica M10 Monochrome.

The camera features a new 40-megapixel black-and-white sensor, which means it only produces photos in black and white.

However, Leica says the M10 Monochrome delivers exceptional photos that give an entirely new level of quality in black- and-white photography.

The ultra-high resolution sensor is said to deliver images with natural sharpness and details in all lighting conditions.

The camera has an ISO range from 160 to ISO 100000.

As is the case with all Leica M-Cameras, the new black-and-white sensor is also matched to all lenses of the Leica M portfolio.

Leica says the technical details and the handling concept of the M10 Monochrome are identical to those of the serial production M10-P series.

Besides that, the design of the M10 Monochrome is as unobtrusive and minimalist as the discreet way of working it supports. The camera has no Leica red dot logo on the front and features only the discreetly engraved logotype ‘Leica M10 Monochrome’ on the top plate.

According to Leica, the omission of colour-filled engravings is a design element that additionally emphasises the black-and-white character of the camera.

The Leica M10 Monochrome is available at a recommended retail price of RM 38,400.
