KUALA LUMPUR: Microsoft has recently announced the Surface Pro 8's pre-orders will start from January 20 in Malaysia through commercial authorised resellers and retailers.
The Surface Pro 8 is two times faster than its predecessor with an 11th Gen Intel Core processor on the Intel Evo platform, and with two thunderbolt 4 ports at only RM4,950. It also has Windows 11 and up to 16 hours of battery life

Microsoft Surface Pro 8
It features a 13 inch PixelSense touchscreen, Dolby Vision, and Adaptive Colour Technology for a great viewing experience while comforting for the eyes.
Furthermore, it's packed with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 10 megapixel - 4K rear-facing camera, a Dolby Atmos sound, and a dual far-field Studio Mics.
The flexible tablet features a kickstand and detachable Surface Pro Signature Keyboard for storage and charging capability for the Surface Slim Pen 2.
While the Surface Pro 8 supports a 120Hz refresh rate, the Surface Slim Pen 2 has haptic feedback for a natural user experience and is slim enough for a better grip when doodling. Plus, the tail button acts as an eraser.
It also comes with a sharper tip with 4,096 points of pressure sensitivity and a zero force inking feature for an instant ink flow as soon as it touches the screen. Which is great for all ink-enabled Surface devices.
Surface Pro 7+
While the Surface Pro 7 has been available since February 2021, users can now get it from February onwards.
It has 11th Gen Intel Core Processors with 2.1 times faster performance and up to 15 hours of battery life.
Moreover, it has both USB type A and C ports for a full workstation setup and a front 1080p Full HD video of front and rear-facing cameras with Dolby Atmos speakers and dual far-field Studio Microphones.
In addition, it is 23 per cent lighter and is made with 99 per cent natural fibre-based material, 64 per cent is post-consumer recycled content.
Both Surface Pro 8 and Pro 7+ will be available from February 15 and 8 respectively from a commercial authorised reseller, Maxis, and authorised retailers such as All IT, Gloo by SNS Network, Harvey Norman, Lazada-Microsoft Authorised store, PC Image, Senheng, Shopee-Microsoft Authorised store and TMT by Thundermatch.
Microsoft is collaborating with SNS Network and Harvey Norman's Gloo to offer a Microsoft Concierge service in Low Yat Plaza and Pavilion Bukit Jalil 2 for shoppers to ask about the devices to buy, get assistance on setting up their device, or upgrading to Windows 11.
