#TECH: Developing children's interest in coding and robotics

KUALA LUMPUR: Jazro Robotic Academy (JAZRO) has partnered with Evo Mall to organise Karnival Robotik from July 16 to July 17 for children age 7 to 17.

The STEM educational awareness programme aims to expose them to the world of technology related to robotics by featuring activities ranging from STEM sharing sessions, games, and lucky draws to workshops on building robots.

Jazro's co-founder, Dzulfarqeish Zainuddin said they want to educate children and parents on how fun learning about robotics can be.

"Let them start learning at a young age and nurture their interest from there. JAZRO is thrilled to be in Bangi this time, so people in the surrounding towns can have an opportunity to learn about robotics in a conducive environment at Evo Mall," he said.

Evo Mall's chief executive officer, Mohd Fauzi Ibni Hajar said the programme aims to cultivate creative and innovative problem-solving skills among youths and create a knowledgeable human capital in surviving modern life.

Visitors can browse PETROSAINS' exhibition booths, Virtual Reality (VR) Park, Projek Mika, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and Techlympics.

The Robotic competitions will be held and winners will get to bring back attractive prizes as well as 45 lucky draws set during the two-day event.
