Strathberry midi tote carried by Meghan Markle sells out

Prince Harry’s fiancee creates a global frenzy for the bag she carried during her first official visit.

ON December 1st, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first official visit together since announcing their engagement, attending a World AIDS Day event at the Terrence Higgins Trust in Nottingham.

Markle chose to carry a Strathberry Midi Tote Tri Colour - Burgundy/Navy/Vanilla. Within 11 minutes of photos surfacing featuring Markle’s look, the handbag sold out across all international stockists.
As a result of the publicity that followed, Strathberry saw web traffic to Strathberry.com increase by 5,000 per cent Owing to this level of interest, Strathberry relaunched production the following week. The first pre-order batch of approximately 400 bags sold out on strathberry.com in under 24 hours. A further second batch will be available for pre-order soon, with an anticipated shipment date of end of Feb 2018.
As a gesture of gratitude for this exposure and in support of a fantastic charity, Strathberry is auctioning the last currently available Meghan Midi Tote from the original production run, in aid of the Terrence Higgins Trust.

The auction ends on Sunday Dec 17. Details on the auction can be found on the Strathberry Website.
