SOUTH Korean beauty brand Farmskin is offering skincare and sheet masks infused with superfood ingredients to benefit skin.
Developed in collaboration with South Korea’s Konkuk University, which specialises in agriculture and life sciences, each Farmskin product contains natural components from each superfood to help keep skin hydrated, and ensure the renewal of cells. The products also contain anti-inflammatory properties.
The brand was launched in 2017 with the mission to provide ethical, natural and healthy skincare made with the highest quality ingredients from Mother Nature.
Farmskin is a colostrum-specialised brand that combines superfood extracts to make skincare products which preserve the original and abundant nutrients of colostrum and the natural benefits of superfoods, thanks to its technology.
SKIN FOOD
Colostrum is a nutrient-rich fluid produced by female cows after they give birth. It has proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and antibodies. The antibody level in bovine colostrum is much higher than in regular cow’s milk.
“When I visited a farm in Germany, I couldn’t help but notice the incredibly youthful hands of the farmers and that’s when I discovered the benefits of colostrum. It was then that I decided to dedicate research and technology on developing effective and ethical skincare-range colostrum,” says farmskin CEO Taeil Kwak who was in Malaysia to launch the skincare range.
Farmskin then translates healthy living into skincare by incorporating vitamins, minerals and antioxidants derived from fruits and superfoods such as avocados, lemons, tomatoes and mangosteen into daily beauty products.
FRESH AND SUPER
Farmskin offers two brands of skincare — Fresh Food for Skin and Superfood for Skin. Both are a combination of colostrum and extract from fruits and superfoods. Prices for Fresh Food starts from RM28 for a pack of masks containing five pouches while Superfood is priced at RM68 for a pack of seven pouches.
All Farmskin products are cruelty-free and made from natural ingredients. The facial mask is made with natural fibre of hi-tencel material and is 100 per cent biodegradable and eco-friendly.
