Umma's fresh start

Besides indulging in scrumptious food and reuniting with friends and family, more importantly, celebrating Eid is also about seeking forgiveness and starting afresh.

Umma brings forward the theme of starting new in their raya collection this year, naming it Mula, a word derived from 'bermula' in Bahasa Malaysia which translates to 'beginning' or 'to start'.

Known for its simple, minimalistic designs, Umma sticks to its modest and modern principles, offering pieces in subtle prints and soft hues for both men and women.

In total, the collection includes six Kurung Kedah designs for women, each representing names like Malis, Kani, Melur, Tati, Hana and Elenor.

The brand plays around with fabrics, using textured linen embroidery, cotton and cotton polyester to ensure maximum comfort for its wearers.

Meanwhile men have a choice of four designs to choose from its range of Kurtas, named after classic Malay male names like Jebat, Lekiu, Nadim and Tuah.

As for men, material used in this collection are woven material, weaving textured fabric, textured wrinkle fabric and crepe polyester.
