CONGRATULATORY messages continued to stream in for award-winning director Syamsul Yusof, his actress wife, Puteri Sarah Liyana, and filmmaker Yusry Abdul Halim and actress Lisa Surihani, who both welcomed new bundles of joy into their families recently.
Syamsul, 32, and Puteri Sarah, 31, welcomed a baby boy at 6.30am on April 19 at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur. The baby weighed 3.5kg.
The Desolasi director was on cloud nine when his little prince came into the world. He took to Instagram to share the good news with his 893,000 followers.
He uploaded an adorable shot of his newborn, with a caption which said: “Pejuang Islam itu muncul dalam pelbagai medan, bidang dan cara. Mudah-mudahan kamu menjadi pejuang Islam yang ikhlas wahai Syaikhul Islam bin Mohd Shamsul.” (Upholders of Islam are found in various arenas of life. May you become a true one dear Syaikhul Islam bin Mohd Shamsul.)
And it looked like the couple, who tied the knot in 2014, have been waiting ever so patiently for this moment.
While Syamsul and Puteri Sarah are first-time parents, Yusry and Lisa welcomed their second baby into their arms, a baby boy, too.
He was born at 7.10am on April 23 at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur. They have yet to reveal their baby’s name. The couple have a daughter, Yahaira Leanne, who will be 2 this September.
Yusry took to Instagram to gush about the news to his 440,000 followers.
The photo, which shows Yahaira kissing her new sibling while Yusry and Lisa’s mother look on, was accompanied by a caption that read: “Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God). Lisa has safely delivered a baby boy this morning. Syukur Alhamdulillah.”
Lisa did not reveal her baby on her Instagram just yet, but she shared a picture of a bouquet of flowers and a message she received from her husband.
The caption read: “My love, you have given me what no one has ever given. Our two wonderful children; our princess and our new prince. And true to all the Disney movies that you’ve enjoyed watching throughout this pregnancy, there’s always a queen and a true love in them.
“You are all of them rolled into one. Thank you for making my life a dream come true and a beautiful fairy tale.”
Lisa, 31 and Yusry, 42 tied the knot on Feb 23, 2012.
