Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor sends fans into frenzy in Bangsar

KUALA LUMPUR: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor was thrilled to find a 1,000-strong crowd of her fans waiting to greet her at the official opening of Juiceco outlet in Bangsar here today.

"I love you, Malaysia. Each time I come here, it'd be so hard for me when it's time to leave.

"There are so many fans and so much love here," said the 36-year-old actress as she addressed the crowd of screaming fans.

The granddaughter of Bollywood legend Raj Kapoor, who starred in the 2001 blockbuster 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', was specially flown in to grace the opening of the fruit juice store which originated from Saudi Arabia.

Kareena who is set to shoot a Hindi film in September also took the opportunity to thank the organisers for giving her the opportunity to meet her Malaysian fans.

This marks her third visit here. Her last was in 2015 for the opening of a jewellery store in Brickfields.

Fans who had been waiting as early as 5pm became all excited when Kareena finally arrived at the venue at 7.35pm.

She was joined by 40 lucky winners of a contest organised by Juiceco held last month.

Kareena last appeared in the 2015 feature movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, starring opposite Salman Khan.
