Yuna 'over the moon' on being in 'Vogue Arabia'

FROM being featured a few times by Vogue online magazine previously, songstress Yunalis Zara’ai (Yuna) landed herself on the cover of a section of Vogue Arabia for its July/August issue.

The 30-year-old Crush hitmaker graced the cover with a grey hijab and dress ensemble designed by Malaysian fashion designer Hatta Dolmat.

With the headline “Hijabi Crush”, Vogue Arabia described Yuna as a Muslim woman who proudly presents women and diversity on the global scene, while making music and breaking into international charts.

The singer shared the news via Instagram, posting a picture of the cover for her 499,000 followers to see.

She paired it with a  caption: “I’m over the moon! This just happened! I’m in the July/August issue of #voguearabia with @jourdandunn on the cover, and lil ol me on the inside.

“This is the cover of a section in the mag called ‘Lens’. Featuring photography by @visionthroughmyretina, dress by @hattadolmatofficial.

“Thank you @voguearabia this is so cool. Let’s do the COVER cover next time, you know I gotchu.

“Back in LA now, time to celebrate this with an iced latte! Blessings blessings sharing this blessing with everyone.”

Meanwhile, the singer has just wrapped up her performance at the Ozy summer festival in New York City.

She is set to return to Kuala Lumpur for a one-night only performance  on July 29, organised by Uber Malaysia.

Called “Yuna X Uber Secret Show”, the venue of the show will only be announced closer to the date.

Local bands The Peachskins and Orang Malaya will be the opening acts to her exclusive show.
