KUALA LUMPUR: Popular US-based singer and songwriter Yunalis Mat Zara’ai or Yuna, entertained some 200 fans at a closed-door musical showcase in Art Printing Works, Jalan Riong, Bangsar here on Saturday night.
Much like a covert operation, the location of the two-hour concert, organised by Uber, was only revealed to fans at noon via the Uber app.
Yuna performed her well-known singles such as Terukir Di Bintang, Crush, Falling, and Lullabies, inviting fans to sing along with her.
She also announced that she was working on a new album which will be out next year.
The singer-songwriter’s latest album Chapters, which was released in May last year made it into the Top 10 of Billboard’s Best R&B Albums of 2016: Critic’s Pick, sitting tight on the seventh spot.
The album’s lead single Crush was a duet with American singer Usher.
Pop groups Orang Malaya and The Peachskins were Yuna’s opening acts in the musical showcase.
