K-Pop group g.o.d's member Park Joon-hyung assaulted by racist robbers in Belgium

KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean rapper Park Joon-hyung revealed that he almost fell victim to theft while travelling in Belgium recently.

The member of the seasoned South Korean male group g.o.d was in Brussels to film Looking For Trouble, a travel reality show where celebrities pay their way by selling odd items to locals.

Coincidentally, the incident was captured on camera, and Park posted the clip on his Instagram last Saturday.

It showed him and the rest of the show’s cast walking along the street at night. Park, 48, wrote in the caption that they were exhausted from their long flight, and were heading towards their last destination for the day.

He was then approached by three strangers who gave him a friendly greeting, before surrounding him, and grabbing his backpack. They also attempted to steal his watch.

He luckily managed to escape their clutches, but his fury grew when the strangers started hurling racial slurs.

Before a fight could break out, some crew members managed to calm Park down as security guards arrived to resolve the situation.

In the caption, Park also left an advice for those who love to travel: “Basically in whatever country you go to there will be good people and bad.

“But you always need to be careful, especially at night in a new place or foreign environment that you have never been to before.

“You will automatically be a magnet to trouble since you will stick out like a sore thumb. Even in your own neighbourhood in the middle of the night can be dangerous but even more so in a foreign environment.

“So if you do go traveling and go out at night please be careful and move in groups and not alone. Remember that nobody is born a bad person... situations make a person bad.”
