KUALA LUMPUR: Popular couple, Adib Khalid and Izara Aishah will tie the knot on Nov 17.
In a recent news report, Adib, who is also the stepson of Malaysia’s beloved songstress, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, confirmed the good news and said that the akad nikah (solemnisation) ceremony would be a closed-door affair, with invited guests consisting of family members, relatives and close friends only.
A bersanding (wedding) ceremony, to be held by the groom’s side of the family, is expected to take place two days after.
“Intense preparations are underway at the moment and, Alhamdulillah, everything is going well so far,” he said.
Yesterday, Adib’s family members, which included his father Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, Siti, his biological mother Datin Tengku Zawyah Tengku Izham and a few others, attended a food tasting session at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur in preparation for the upcoming wedding ceremony.
Photos of the session were uploaded on Tengku Zawyah’s Instagram account.
Adib, the CEO of Tune Studios, and Izara, got engaged last July and will be attending the mandatory marriage course together this weekend.
He added that the two have yet to decide on where they’d be heading to for their honeymoon as they are currently preoccupied with handling the various aspects of wedding preparations.
