Stacy hands out world class act with Cakap Ke Tangan MV

KUALA LUMPUR: The music video to singer Stacy Anam’s upbeat tune, Cakap Ke Tangan, has been receiving plenty of praise from fans recently, with some even proclaim that the work is on par with those by international artistes.

The 27-year-old singer from Penampang, Sabah, said that she was very satisfied with the production of the music video, directed by Casper.

In a news report by Harian Metro Online, she said: "I’m very grateful for all of the positive feedback. Personally, I’m really satisfied with the result. Looks like my month-long rehearsals have not gone to waste.”

“The idea for this music video was the result of discussions between the director and I. Taking into consideration that I haven’t been seen for a while now, we purposely made sure to bring a lot of the dance elements to the forefront,” she said.

The Akademi Fantasia Season 6 winner and Kisah Dongeng hitmaker added that although the shoot was only carried out in a nondescript warehouse, the final result was extraordinary.

Stacy also agreed with fans who had expressed their opinion that the music video had a lavish and costly appearance.

“I’m really amazed by its look. I agree with fans who said that it looked expensive. The creative touch from Casper, lighting effects and tasteful editing made it truly mesmerising,” she said.

The music video director had previously garnered a win at Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) 2016 for Best Music Video for Stacy’s other song, Not For Sale.

Cakap Ke Tangan’s music video has already been viewed over 100,000 times (at press time) on YouTube since its release last Friday.

The track is Stacy’s latest single, which was composed by her singer-songwriter husband, Akim Ahmad, and Laq.
