CL to make Hollywood debut?

WHILE promoting her solo music in the United States for the past three years, South Korean singer CL had rubbed shoulders with some of the world’s hottest stars and top designers, like Justin Bieber and Karl Lagerfeld.

So, it shouldn’t be a surprise if the former girl group 2NE1 member managed to draw attention from the Hollywood community.

While there has been no confirmation from her agency, YG Entertainment, her Instagram posts yesterday tell a different story.

It appears that the 26-year-old artiste may have decided to dabble in acting. In a Hollywood film, no less!

The singer and rapper, whose real name is Lee Chae-rin, shared photos of herself at a movie set for the action flick, Mile 22.

The first photo had the caption, “+guesswhat+”, apparently hinting of a special project.

The other photos saw her posing with the film’s director, Peter Berg and the cast, including actors John Malkovich, Myke Holmes and actress Jenique Hendrix.

CL did not disclose any details on her reason for being at the filming site.

Mile 22, which also stars Hollywood action star Mark Wahlberg and Indonesian actor Iko Uwais, centres on a Central Intelligence Agency field officer and an Indonesian police officer, who work together to battle against political corruption.

Meanwhile, last Monday, also via Instagram, CL leaked snippets of the music video for her yet-to-be-released single, All In, as her way of making it up to her fans who have been expecting new material from her.

The post was accompanied with a caption that read: “This video is something I shot over a year ago, and it may or may
not ever come out, but I always loved it and was sad that it never got a chance to make it to you guys.

“(This) may get me into trouble but it’s worth the risk to give you something and keep my promise. I’m all in.”
