KUALA LUMPUR: While K-pop fans are still recovering from their shock over the death of SHINee’s band member Kim Jong-hyun who committed suicide last month, it’s a different story with some Malaysian artistes.
In a news report by BeautifulNara, Malaysian K-pop fans were upset with actresses Sharifah Sakinah and Janna Nick recently over an Instastory video shared by Sharifah Sakinah.
In the short eight-second video shot at a hair salon, Janna whose short hair looked like it had been bleached light blonde, was teased by Sharifah Sakinah that she looked like the deceased South Korean star.
May be she was only joking, but Netizens didn’t seem to be laughing at the joke which they deemed as inappropriate.
“No respect at all. 2018. Berubah lah wahai meleis. Common sense mana?” wrote one Netizen.
Janna, 22, however later tweeted an apology over the matter claiming that she wasn’t paying much attention to her friend, but only laughed along with her.
