KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress Nora Danish revealed that she faced a serious health scare while giving birth to her son Mohamed Neqayl Nedim a.k.a. NeyNey.
The Makrifat Cinta star took to Instagram yesterday and shared her experience with her fans and followers.
The 37-year-old artiste said that the doctors had to remove two life-threatening fibroids from her before delivering NeyNey via C-section.
“I would have loved to see baby NeyNey arrive naturally but the doctors in my hospital said it was too risky. One of them, Dr Aziz, told me that the fibroids endangered my health and had to be quickly removed, thus baby had to be delivered earlier than expected."
Nora said she was very lucky to have had the fibroids detected, else she might have suffered a miscarriage and had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
"Thank God NeyNey is safe, healthy, normal and full of life. He was to have arrived on March 9, but we greeted him 15 days earlier."
More than 60,000 netizens “liked” Nora's post and all of them were thankful that "mum and baby" were safe and healthy.

Nora advised all mothers-to-be to undergo health screening for fibroids and have them removed.
"I'm very lucky that baby NeyNey and I are in good health and I want to thank Dr Aziz and his team for their professionalism. He was also my doctor when I had Rayqal."
NeyNey was born at 9.02am on Feb 22 in a private hospital here, and weighed three kilograms.
Nora and her husband, businessman Nedim Nazri, were married on March 30 last year.
She was previously married to Rizal Ashram Ramli and had a son, Putra Rayqal Rizal Ashram, 9. They were divorced on July 10, 2008 after two years' marriage.
Nedim also has a son Mohd Nedrin Nedim, 6, from his previous marriage to Nabila Khan, between 2007 and 2013.
