KUALA LUMPUR: After wowing music listeners with her various vocal impressions of celebrated artistes such as Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson on YouTube, singer Idayu released a follow up video yesterday.
Simply titled “Viral Idayu Mimic Stars – Part 2”, the AF Megastar winner continued to blow listeners away with impeccable renditions of Shakira’s Illegal and a rousing vocal crescendo of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On.
Sounding uncannily like the original artistes, she also belted out hits by local vocal powerhouse stars like Ning Baizura, Ziana Zain, Jaclyn Victor and Dayang Nurfaizah to further showcase her versatility and talent.
The close to six-minute video, which was uploaded on the Whistlers Entertainment channel, was accompanied by a caption from Idayu that read: “Would you like to see part 3?”
YouTubers’ comments were overwhelmingly positive, ranging from “Talent from God, we appreciate” and “Wow! Idayu is crazy good, speechless,” to “World class,” and “Goosebumps.”
