#Showbiz: Henry Golding to star with 'Mother of Dragons' Emilia Clarke in new Hollywood movie

KUALA LUMPUR: Henry Golding went from being plucked from anonymity to movie star status under a year following his breakthrough moment as the lead star of romcom Crazy Rich Asians (CRA) but he’s got another big Hollywood project lined up.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Sarawak-born artiste and Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, 31, have been cast to star in an upcoming holiday romance film set in London.

Last Christmas marks a reunion between Golding and Paul Feig who also helmed A Simple Favor, the latest crime thriller which Golding stars in opposite Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick.

Taking to Instagram to share his excitement, the 31-year-old wrote: “Very proud to be on board with @emiliaclarke in Emma Thompson’s "Last Christmas" directed by @paulfeig... London here we come!”

The plot for Last Christmas is being kept under wraps which means there’s not much juicy details to share, but the script is co-written by Bryony Kimmings, and Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson.

Clarke is most known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO fantasy hit television series Game Of Thrones, and she was also seen in the spin-off film in the Star Wars universe, Solo: A Star Wars Story.
