KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Nourul Wahab Depp is confirmed to be expecting her fourth child, due sometime in May next year.
The artiste said that her French husband, Eric Daniel Depp, 52, had before this frequently expressed his desire to have another addition to the family.
“I am very grateful to be blessed with the ability to have another child at my age of 41. I’m currently about two weeks pregnant.
“Actually, my husband has been talking about having another child repeatedly. Alhamdulillah, his prayers have been answered. My other children, especially Ayu (Nazirah), are also very happy to find out that they will have another sibling on the way,” said the artiste in a recent news report.
Nourul has two children, Zachary Depp, 5, and Raphael Depp, 3, with Eric, in addition to 20-year-old Ayu, which she had with former husband singer-songwriter Mohd Faizal Maas or Ajai.
On her wellbeing, Nourul said that she did not suffer from any allergies and only had strong cravings for traditional kuih.
“So far, my stamina is pretty normal and I can still work, although I was recently down with a really bad cold and sore throat which forced me to cancel a show after I lost my voice.
“I couldn’t take any strong medicine due to my pregnancy, so for the time being I just have to get some good rest first. Once I’m fully recovered I’ll be able to take on more singing offers again,” she said.
On another note, Nourul, whose real name is Noorulhuda Abdul Wahab, is getting ready to head back to Paris, France in November to sort out the distribution of her new French album, Humaine.
“The plan is for me to be there for about two months and I’ll be coming back to Malaysia sometime in January next year.
“I’ll have my support team with me and we’ll be meeting with various distribution companies there but the songs from the album are already available on the digital platform,” she said.
