#Showbiz: BTS renews contract with agency for another 7 years

KUALA LUMPUR: It looks like the hottest K-Pop boy band BTS is set for another seven years of world domination having recently renewed its contract with Big Hit Entertainment, their agency.

It is understood that the band, comprising seven members, still has over a year left in current contract, but both parties have agreed to seal the deal early, according to allkpop.

It is Big Hit’s philosophy that artistes who showcase immense achievements worldwide deserve to be treated well.

“Through lengthy discussions, BTS has decided to renew its contract in order to ensure long-lasting, stable careers.

“We plan on strengthening the size and capacity of the current staff team in charge of BTS, which now has over 100 team members,” said its agency in a press statement.

BTS acknowledged the big news with a statement: “We respect Mentor Bang Si Hyuk, who proposed a vision of our future since before our debut and who opened our eyes to ‘a new perspective on music and life’.

“We will do our best to show our fans from around the world greater aspects of ourselves with Big Hit, who has continued to give us their full support.”

BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys is made up of Jimin, V, Jungkook, Suga, Jin, RM and J-Hope gained popularity through hits like I Need U and Fake Love among others.

They’re currently riding high on success after their fanbase grew tremendously in the United States.
