#Showbiz: Aliff Syukri has new song, says 'ignore other people's opinions'

KUALA LUMPUR: Looks like successful cosmetics entrepreneur-turned-singer Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri hopes to bounce back in positive form from his recent kerfuffle with regards to skin colour, this time with a new single.

He posted the news of his new inspirational track, titled Biar Apa Orang Kata, on his Instagram account today.

The post read: “The ones who can shut off their ears, rise above them all. The reason I was inspired to create this song was because I heavily believe that the number one criteria to become successful in this world is (to have) the ability to ignore other people’s opinion.”

It further read: “What they think is right or wrong, should be their own personal belief and we have no right to change that. This song has a bigger meaning than just a song promoting beauty.”

“It really ends up to your own personal capability to truly understand the underlying meaning that this song carries. I hope the lyrics to this song could inspire you guys out there.”

Although the post has since garnered over 3,000 likes, some of the comments had more negative connotations.

Most of them referred to the recent incident where the 31-year-old multi-millionaire called an audience member ugly and remarked unfavourably towards a darker skin colour on a live broadcast TV show.

Another Netizen wrote in the comments section: “Get ready to unlike, guys, if there are any vulgar elements. Recently made that Bobo song, got badly bashed, apologised, then came up with a nasyid song instead. Now out with a new song Biar Apa Orang Kata.”

This was in reference to the entrepreneur-turned-singer’s spicy lyric video to Bobo Di Mana which featured visually “provocative” content.

Following massive criticism for it, Aliff then quickly came up with a nasyid tune titled Agama Kedamaian.
