#Showbiz: Aliff Syukri charges a fee for a selfie? Here's why...

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri once again landed himself in hot water recently following a controversial Instagram post where he announces a fee of RM1 for anyone who wants to have a photo taken with him.

The post had initially triggered a wave of criticism as Netizens were left puzzled on why he demanded payment over a simple act, but things soon turned positive when the entrepreneur-turned-singer revealed that it was done in the name of charity.

An Instagram video post recently showed Aliff collecting funds from individuals who took photos with him on KL streets, before distributing the collection to the underprivileged.

The 32-year-old shared he managed to collect about RM1,000.

“With all these RM1 notes collected, we were able to help many people. I am grateful to have obtained RM1,000 so far. “It wasn’t just about taking photos with me. It’s about sharing our rezeki with those in need,” he wrote.

Aliff’s fans and followers lauded his efforts to help ease the burden of the less fortunate.
