KUALA LUMPUR: Sympathetic towards the plight of a couple suffering from cancer, popular TV host and actress Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor took to her social media recently to call on her fans and followers to extend help.
Re-tweeting a posting shared by @nuyulhuda, the 30-year-old celebrity-turned-entrepreneur wrote: “Let’s show a lot love and support to @egyazira and her partner! They both are diagnosed with cancer. May Allah ease everything for them and may Allah grant them courage, patience and strength to go through this. Sending love and support to you girl!”
A 26-year-old woman identified as Azira Baharum is said to be suffering from Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer, which doctors have cosidered as an “unfavourable cancer stage 3”.
And what’s worse for Azira, her husband Mohamad Izham also has cancer. However based on Neelofa’s tweet, it isn’t clear as to what type of cancer he is suffering from.
The couple hopes to raise funds to cover the cost of their treatment.
