#Showbiz: There's a sense of gratitude, enthusiasm unlike anywhere else – Jason Mraz to M'sian fans [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Multiple Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jason Mraz mesmerised Malaysian music fans once again at his Good Vibes Tour here, on Monday night.

The American artiste behind songs such as I’m Yours, The Remedy, Lucky and I Won’t Give Up serenaded more than 10,000 fans at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil here in a two-hour concert which began at 8.30pm.

This marks the third Malaysian concert of 41-year-old Mraz, who previously entertained Klang Valley folk in 2009 and 2012 for his Tour Is A Four Letter Word tour.

“It’s really good to be back in Malaysia, to reconnect and re-experience the joy Malaysian fans bring to my shows.

“I feel a sense of gratitude and enthusiasm unlike anywhere else in the world. The audience participation especially in Malaysia is harmonic and supersonic,” he said.

Mraz’s first taste of mainstream success came in 2002 with his debut album Waiting For My Rocket To Come.

He has recorded six studio albums, the latest being Know, which was released in August last year. His songs are known for their positive vibes and motivational qualities.

Mraz’s singles I’m Yours and I Won’t Give Up won Grammy Awards. He also received the Songwriter Hall of Fame Hal David Award and had sold out shows in amphitheatres and arenas including The Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena.

His Good Vibes Tour began in North America in June 2018, and he will also be performing in Manila, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei and Bangkok.

The singer-songwriter’s concert is presented by Great Eastern Life Malaysia, and popular singer-songwriter Aizat Amdan was the opening act.
