KUALA LUMPUR: Recent news of the impending divorce between popular Korean star Goo Hye Sun and her fellow actor husband Ahn Jae Hyun has taken another sharp turn with the actress revealing certain “details” on the matter.
According to Koreaboo, the 34-year-old actress, via her legal counsel, had disclosed the conduct of Ahn, 32, that had led to her decision to discuss with him about getting a divorce.
But the law firm representing Goo also revealed that although the couple had met to consult on the possibility of a divorce, she had never agreed to one officially.
The actress, who married Ahn in 2016 after starring together in the hit Korean drama series Blood, has apparently no intention to follow through with the divorce.
Although a divorce agreement was drafted and exchanged between the two spouses the documents did not contain any dates or signatures.
Apparently, Goo has been under severe stress due to Ahn’s feeling of boredom, damage of her trust in him and his change of heart.
It was alleged that Ahn also had frequent intimate calls with several other women when he got drunk.
But Goo had made it clear on the social media platform that she had no intention on agreeing to a divorce to protect her family and her mother who is psychologically in shock and deteriorating in health.
Her legal counsel added that Goo had confirmed that she is no longer able to stay with her agency, HB Entertainment, since it has broken her trust by unilaterally engaging in their private lives.
Goo hopes that her exclusive contract with the company, which also manages Ahn, will be terminated as soon as possible.
It was revealed that she would take legal action if HB Entertainment fails to cooperate.
Her legal counsel ended the statement with: “We hope that there will be no more groundless articles on Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun’s divorce.”
