KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Sissy Imann was rushed to the hospital earlier today after she had an electric shock while using her curling iron.
According to her father Mohammad Kamil, the unfortunate incident took place in their home in Cheras where the 23-year-old artiste was getting ready to go for a TV commercial shoot in Sepang.
“At about 2am this morning, after a night out with her friends to celebrate her birthday (today), she went straight to her room to get ready for her 6.30am shoot.
“And since the shoot would be at the beach, there won’t be any power outlet for her to style her hair there. So, she decided to do it at home,” he added.
Mohammad Kamil said he was downstairs when he heard his wife’s screams.
“When I rushed upstairs, I found Sissy sobbing hard,” he said.
When Sissy told him that her right wrist felt numb and that there were also some bruising, they rushed her to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre for treatment.
Although the singer was allowed to go home after having undergone treatment for four hours, doctors have advised her to take sufficient rest to recuperate from the incident.
