“We’re suppose to film drama series Dayang Senandung tomorrow, but after receiving words from Finas, I made sure that everyone involved in the production knew that filming had to be postponed to a later date.

“Although there are few other projects which should go on due to deadlines, I understand that it is best that we for follow what the government’s decision on the two-week Movement Control Order,” he said in a news report yesterday.

Director and producer of Tanah Beris Film Production Sdn Bhd, Shuhaimi Lua, admitted that he was taken by surprise with the statement from Finas.

He said that as producers, there were many things that needed consideration such as the crew members who work on freelance basis, location rental and revoked sponsorships.

“However, we will follow the advice, seeing the situation the country is facing now.”

The president of Malaysian Television Producers Association (PTVM), Datuk Jurey Latiff Rosli also reminded its members to follow the advice.
