KUALA LUMPUR: While the current movement restriction means that there is no drama filming, actress Halimaton Saadiah Mohd Daud is taking this opportunity to bake cookies for the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
It was recently reported that because she had no source of income since March 18, the actress known as Mak Wan Latah was, at one time, left with only RM20.
Not wanting to wait in vain for the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) to end, Mak Wan is now making herself busy by taking orders for cookies.
"I've opened orders for pineapple tart, chocolate chip cookies and semperit," she was quoted in a news report yesterday.
Mak Wan said so far she's received orders and baked some for friends, who picked up the cookies from her home. For those who are staying far, she would use a runner service for delivery.
This is not the first time that Mak Wan is selling cookies. She is used to selling them at Ramadan bazaars for the past few years.
"But because of the spread of Covid-19 and the MCO, I've to resort to sell them from home this year," said Mak Wan who also promotes her cookies on her Instagram account @makwanju.
