KUALA LUMPUR: Pop-rock group Drama Band is riding high with its single Kayangan which was released last month.
That song highlighted the need for Malaysians to take precautions in the fight against Covid-19 and cooperate with the health authorities.
The group which comprises Aepul, Daus SRK, Faeez Ikhwan, Syed Syahmir and Nik Adib has just released another song which highlights the fight against Covid-19, Bertahanlah ("Soldier On").
A ballad which pays tribute to all frontliners, the country's real heroes battling the deadly virus, it has had its music video on YouTube since May 10.
Lead singer Aepul said that it was their special project for the frontliners, and a thank you for their tireless efforts in keeping the country safe from Covid-19.
"We didn't put our name in the music video, because it is our labour of love to the country's true heroes fighting Covid-19. It's our call for all Malaysians to support them as they soldier on to keep us safe from danger," said Aepul in a news report yesterday.
Aepul added that he was happy that Netizens loved the song and commended Drama Band for a job well done.
He said that Drama Band wrote and composed the song with Sharul Kamal, AG Coco and Argo.
"Argo, Daus and Sharul Kamal wrote it, while Argo and AG Coco composed it," he said.
The music video for Bertahanlah has had more than 13,000 views. Netizens have hailed it as a moving tribute to national heroes.
