#Showbiz: 'I know it would mean having to forgo what I love most, which is to indulge in beauty' — Neelofa

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular TV host and entrepreneur Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor said she sacrificed beauty, a subject very close to her heart, for the reward promised in the eternal after-life.

"Every woman wants to look pretty and that is the nature of most women. So it was not easy for me to come to the decision to wear the niqab. I know it would mean having to forgo what I love most, which is to indulge in beauty," she said during a live session via Kasih Neelofa's Instagram account, held in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul yesterday.

In the programme which discussed on Prophet Muhammad's message to women, Neelofa said that she had previously come across a reading that women who cover their modesty would be granted a veil of light over their faces, which God doesn't give to the Houri (God's creation to accompany the faithful in Heaven).

"It had never crossed my mind before (to wear niqab), but this is the sacrifice I'm willing to make," added Neelofa who is also the chairperson for Kasih Neelofa.

Also present at the programme was her deputy chairman Haris Ismail a.k.a. PU Riz and social media guru Khairul Hakimin Muhammad, who acted as the moderator.
