#Showbiz: Universal Music, Allianz Malaysia collaborate to bring song of hope

KUALA LUMPUR: In helping to raise people's hopes and spirits in battling the Covid-19 pandemic, Universal Music Malaysia and Allianz Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Malaysia) have come together to produce a brand new single titled "We Care".

This special collaboration is an initiative to provide coverage from the coronavirus, as well as free healthcare to customers and non-customers of Allianz Malaysia.

The tune is performed exclusively by Alvin Chong, up-and-coming pop group Dolla and Mandopop artiste Nicole Lai.

Interestingly, Lai who is signed with Universal Music in October since last year, also helped pen the lyrics in Mandarin.

Meanwhile, this project also sees Dolla members' debut attempt at their rapping skill, in the song which is inspired by the pandemic which first detected at the end of 2019.

Universal Music Malaysia's New Businesses and Celebrity 360 senior director Kim Lim said that the collaboration is hoped to inspire everyone to never give up hope in combatting the pandemic, as well as to continue supporting one another during this trying time.

"This is our first strategic creative effort that features our artistes performing a song which is specially-composed by renowned music producer Bryan B," she said in a news report today.

Meanwhile, Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad's CEO Joseph Gross added that the corporation was always aware of its role in its customers' lives.
