KUALA LUMPUR: Although she is of the Christian faith, Indonesian actress Amanda Manopo recently expressed her intention to build a mosque.
In an Insta Story, the 21-year-old artiste of Manado-Spanish descent, shared her desire to build a mosque, even asking her fans to suggest a suitable location for the structure.
In the entry which she uploaded a photo of a mosque, she wrote: "In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful. With His blessing and what He had given to me, I intend to build a mosque.
"If anyone has any suggestion of a region or district (that needs one), please share with me," she wrote.
Many of her 14.6 million followers on IG expressed their surprise over her generosity and religious tolerance, although her previous relationships with fellow artistes Billy Syahputra and Esa Sigit ended due to differences in faith.
