KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Aishah Sulaiman has tied the knot with 28-year-old businessman Muhammad Firdaus Sulaiman yesterday.
The 27-year-old artiste became Muhammad Firdaus' wife after a single lafaz at 11.15am during the solemnisation ceremony which took place at a well-known hotel here.
The nikah was conducted by Ustaz Mohd Abdul Nasir Abdullah from the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) in the presence of the bride's father, Sulaiman Abd Rahman.
Conducted with strict adherence to the set SOP, the ceremony saw the bridegroom's side presenting RM300 as mas kahwin and five hantaran trays which were reciprocated with seven trays from the bride's side.
"Praise be to God, the ceremony went well after being postponed several times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"I am very grateful that our intention to have our marriage witnessed by family members has been fulfilled.
"My husband and I apologise for not being able to invite fellow artistes due to the RMCO," said the actress in a news report yesterday.
Puteri Aishah said that Muhammad Firdaus possessed the traits of her dream husband.
"I have liked his personality for the two years that I've known him. He is a good man who prioritises family.
"He's a loving husband who puts his family above all. Moreover, he is always supportive of my career as an actress.
"He has given me the green light to continue with my work," she said.
The modest event was only attended by family members and close friends. A reception was also held later in the evening at the same hotel.
Previously, Puteri's upcoming marriage came to be known after pre-marriage photos of the couple that were shared on her Instagram account, went viral.
