#Showbiz: Mat Kilau extends his legacy in 'King Of Nations'

KUALA LUMPUR: After having his story immortalised in the blockbuster movie Mat Kilau: Kebangkitan Pahlawan, legendary Pahang Malay warrior Mat Kilau has left quite a mark in local pop culture, big enough for him to become a mobile game hero.

VNG Games has just announced that Mat Kilau has entered the virtual world as a playable character in the mobile game King Of Nations (KON).

Available on Google Play & App Store from today, Mat Kilau in KON is even introduced by Datuk Adi Putra, the man who played the warrior himself on the big screen, and Fattah Amin who played his brother Awang.

"This is an exciting replication of Mat Kilau in mobile game version with detailed traditional costumes and weapons. Simply amazing," said Adi in a statement today.

Fattah said: "Gamers should take the opportunity to experience the game and celebrate the spirit of patriotism and local pride through the Mat Kilau character."

Mat Kilau marks a milestone for the mobile game as he is the first non-fiction character from Malaysia to be in it.

Mat Kilau's art style involves a detailed Baju Silat and a traditional Tengkolok headgear, while his weapons include the keris and the sword.

KON is a free download game that requires 480 mb of space on a smartphone.
