KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Janna Nick is thrilled to be among the 13 recipients of the Anugerah Ikon Ekspresi Seni from the National Film Development Corporation (Finas).
The 27-year-old artiste whose real name is Nurul Jannah Muner said such an acknowledgement means a lot to her, especially when the other recipients were well-known figures in the local entertainment industry.
"I'm honoured to be among the industry's most illustrious practitioners who include Fauziah Nawi and Erra Fazira.
"This award is huge to me and it has inspired me to work harder to produce the best works in future," said Janna in a news report yesterday.
Janna and the others, which included director Syamsul Yusof, producer Datuk A. Aida, Datuk Adi Putra and producer-director Adrian Teh, received the awards during the closing ceremony of the Ekspresi@Finas programme held at Finas Complex in Hulu Kelang, Selangor recently.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Finas chairman Senator Datuk Seri Zurainah Musa and Finas CEO Dr Md Nasir Ibrahim.
