KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau is believed to have celebrated Chinese New Year with his Malaysian wife's family here.
According to China Press, the 61-year-old international artiste who married Carol Chu in 2008 was spotted with local tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan during a visit to the Jing Si Tzu-Chi Hall in Kepong recently.
In a video clip recorded by a netizen, Lau can be seen looking dapper in a grey coat while wearing a face mask as he was accompanied by his wife as well as Tan.
The footage also featured Lau and Tan having a spirited conversation with the two laughing together.
It was not clear as to the reason for their presence at the venue since there was no official announcement on the matter which has been regarded as a private and closed function.
It was reported that Lau traditionally spends time celebrating Chinese New Year with his wife's family who reside in Malaysia.
In 2021, the actor, singer-songwriter and film producer revealed that he came back here in 2020 but had to stay on a while longer in Malaysia due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lau added that he could only return to Hong Kong after spending several months here.
