#Showbiz: Rock band Muse to perform in Kuala Lumpur in July

KUALA LUMPUR: Two-time Grammy award winner Muse is set to perform in Kuala Lumpur on 29 July for the band's 'The Will of the People' international tour.

The announcement was made by concert promoter Hello Universe at Zepp KL earlier today.

Hello Universe CEO Adam Ashraf said it is part of the company's mission to position Malaysia as one of the preferred concert destinations for global superstars.

"We are proud because Kuala Lumpur is part of this tour, and one of the exclusive (tour stop) in Asia.

"Hello Universe hopes that this upcoming showcase can help nudge relevant ministries to really look at the potential of how entertainment events are able to be the catalyst to drive tourism," he added.

Adam also said that the concert venue, most likely outdoor, will be announced closer to date and is expected to hold up to 50,000 pax.

It will coincide with the results of an upcoming band audition, which Hello Universe plans to host.

"Muse themselves will select the local band that will perform as their opening act in Kuala Lumpur, and the terms and conditions will be disclosed soon," he shared.

This will be 16-years since the UK-based rock phenomenon last performed in Kuala Lumpur in 2007.

Pre-sales for Muse 'The Will of the People' tour begins 2 March, at 10am. Prices is expected to range from RM350 to RM900.
