KUALA LUMPUR: Last Wednesday, popular singer-songwriter and actor Naim Daniel performed live for students at Universiti Malaya, and was urged by one guest at his show to "hurry up".
"Cepatlah," said the impatient guest to Naim who sat on a chair with his guitar as soon as he emerged on stage.
Naim subsequently replied "Kejaplah" and added that the man only paid RM7 for the showcase.
"Kau bayar RM7 je," said Naim jokingly.
The entire episode was recorded by an anonymous Netizen on TikTok.
Guests at Auditorium Kompleks Perdanasiswa in the university laughed with Naim and also cheered him before he finally began to sing.
Netizens who responded to the TikTok video praised Naim for being "sporting and real".
However some of them also felt worried that he might be perceived as "rude" by certain fans.
"I love Naim. He may have answered that man, but he did it sportingly, and he did not sound rude or arrogant at all," said a Netizen identified as Hasan.
