#Showbiz: Former In-Team nasyid singer Mohd Suhaimi dies

KUALA LUMPUR: Former local nasyid group 'In-Team' member, Mohd Suhaimi Saad has died earlier today in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI) in Johor Baru due to a lung infection.

This was confirmed via In-Team's official Facebook page where a post stated that he had passed away at 7.40pm.

The 43-year-old leaves behind a wife, Ina Naim and four children.

"Our beloved friend returned to the Creator earlier today at 7.40pm.

"Condolences to the family members. May all be eased for them.

"May Allah place the deceased among the believers and those who are righteous," the post said today.

Earlier, Harian Metro reported that Suhaimi had to be put in an induced coma and completely relied on respiratory support devices.

It is also understood that the late Suhaimi had been admitted to the hospital since last Friday.

The late Suhaimi was said to have suffered from an infection leading to internal organ failure due to chronic coughing for the past four months and diarrhoea for three months, resulting in a sudden and excessive weight loss.
