KUALA LUMPUR: KUALA LUMPUR: "I ask to be given some space. Pray for the best," is all singer Adira Suhaimi said about allegations that she is divorcing her husband, Datuk Seri Adnan or Datuk Red.
According to a Harian Metro report, Adira was spotted yesterday at the Gombak Barat Lower Syariah Court in Rawang, Selangor, with her sister, Emma, serving as a conciliatory committee (JKP) representative.
Adira added that she didn't want to further elaborate on the matter.
"I'm sorry. I will share a statement when the time is right," she said.
Previously, Adira had filed her first request for a divorce on April 1, 2019.
She then filed another one on Oct 25, but the process was reported to have failed following her husband's absence, which stalled the matter.
Adira became Adnan's second wife when they tied the knot in Songkhla, Thailand, on Dec 3, 2015.
They have been blessed with four children: Anggrek, 6; Asan, 5; Anggun, 4; and 12-month-old Ayob.
Adnan has two children from his marriage to his first wife, Datin Seri Sharifah Norshafila Hassim.
He was also married at age 20 but divorced after five years and had two children from that union.
