KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actress Azira Shafinaz won Best Actor/Actress in a Comedy Role at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA 2023) gala night ceremony which took place in Singapore recently.

The 32-year-old artiste garnered the award for her role in the drama series, Ijab Kabut, which aired on Viu late last year.

"I feel happy and proud because all the hard work for the last 10 years in the local entertainment industry has finally resulted in my first award as an artiste.

"This award is quite meaningful since I also represent Malaysia and this provides recognition at an international level," she said in a recent Harian Metro report.

The De Fam group member also thanked the production team for their trust in her abilities.

"I am grateful for this recognition and thank all parties including everyone involved in the making of the drama series.
