#Showbiz: I was nervous riding a horse for 'Pendekar Awang', says Fazura

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin admitted that she was nervous when filming Pendekar Awang: Darah Indera Gajah, as it was her first time being part of an action film production.

The 40-year-old artiste said this was because in the film, her character Sayang had to be on horseback as well as show off some archery skills, which she picked up from a three-day crash course due to her tight schedule.

"Everyday during filming, I prayed that I wouldn't have any problem while riding a horse, like falling.

"As a woman, I needed to be extra careful to avoid such an incident, which might affect my reproductive system, " said Fazura who already had some horse-riding experience from her childhood.

Fazura, however, was quick to add that while she was not planning to have another child soon, she had to take precautions when doing her own stunts for the film which is spinoff to Mat Kilau: Kebangkitan Pahlawan.

In the film, her character Sayang is the wife of Awang, the titular role played by her real-life husband Fattah Amin, 33.

Fazura said this when met after the press screening of the film which took place at GSC IOI City Mall in Putrajaya yesterday.

The film, produced by Studio Kembara and co-directed by Saiful Reza A Shukor and Shaharudin Mat Dali (who replaced Areel Abu Bakar), will open in cinemas on Jan 11.

Meanwhile,Fazura and Fattah who married on Nov 27, 2017, have been blessed with a daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, three.
