#Showbiz: Aina Abdul honoured to entertain fans at DFP

KUALA LUMPUR: Award-winning singer and songwriter Aina Abdul is eagerly awaiting her first concert at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) in KLCC, Jalan Ampang on May 11.

The 30-year-old artiste's two-hour concert which begins at 8.30pm will feature 80 musicians from the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) led by conductor Ahmad Muriz Che Rose.

"It is an honour to perform with a world class orchestra in a world class concert venue," said Aina in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday.

"When they extended me an invite last year I thought it was merely an audition for me to be a guest artiste at their concert."

Aina said that she felt a certain pressure to perform well as the DFP had already presented world class performances by top Malaysian singers such as Datuk M. Nasir and Dayang Nurfaizah.

"I will be collaborating with reputable composers and arrangers to expand my hit singles specially for this concert," said Aina who will perform her hits such as Sumpah, Semalam and Terus Hidup.
